Are You Damaging YOur Eyes with vision pro?

Apple Vision Pro

The Vision Pro is not gonna pop your eyeballs out of the socket or anything, but please keep its use at a safe level.

Our mom used to say, “don’t sit too close to the TV.” But look at us now, strapping the screen directly onto our faces with Apple’s highly anticipated Vision Pro headset. We can’t ignore the usefulness of technology in our lives, and we rely heavily on it. But that doesn’t mean we should let it hurt our health as well. The Apple Vision Pro seems fun and all, but it might also cause discomfort if we keep using it for a long period of time without any break.

The Vision Pro is basically stuck to your eyeballs and needs heightened visual concentration, and there are no other ways to use it. The Vision Pro promises an immersive, life-like experience that blurs the lines between reality and the virtual world. However, as with any groundbreaking technology, there are potential concerns to address, particularly when it comes to our delicate eyes.

If you have your Vision Pro right in your face, right before you try to go to sleep, it’s probably going to mess with your circadian rhythm a little bit. There are studies that show the blue light can have that effect on your circadian rhythm, but it’s not going to cause damage to your eyes. Though it can cause digital eye strain. Prolonged use can cause eye fatigue, dry eyes, and headaches.

You should take preventive measures to protect your eyes. Apple recommends taking regular breaks after 20-30 minutes. Another vital practice is to blink regularly. It might seem like a no-brainer, but when we’re fully immersed in virtual environments, blinking can become an afterthought. Make a conscious effort to blink frequently, as this helps to keep your eyes lubricated and reduce dryness. And also, practice the 20-20-20 rule. The 20-20-20 rule dictates that you should take a break after 20 minutes, looking at an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Though most of us are so lazy, we don’t want to perform even this simple practice. What a bummer.

Remember, we are a tech blog, not a medical authority. So, if you experience persistent eye discomfort or vision issues, consult with an eye care professional immediately. Your two special eyeballs are irreplaceable, so treat them with the utmost care.
